About Cognitive Insight
A specialized practice dedicated to implementing auditable, proof-carrying governance for consequential AI systems.
The Practice
Cognitive Insight is a founder-led AI governance and evidence-assurance practice. We do not sell generic AI-safety slide decks or deploy armies of junior consultants.
Instead, we work directly with client engineering, security, privacy, and legal teams to design and implement the technical controls required to demonstrate that consequential AI actions were authorized, policy-bound, correctly executed, and independently verifiable.
Because we operate on a model of direct senior-practitioner engagement, we maintain a limited number of concurrent client engagements. This ensures that every client receives focused, expert delivery without the overhead or dilution of a traditional consulting model.
The Principal
Cognitive Insight is led by James Greenwood, who directs all technical architecture, research, and client delivery.
James is the author of the open-source AI Governance and Evidence Infrastructure (AGEI) reference architecture. He developed AGEI after recognizing a critical gap in enterprise AI adoption: organizations had policies and scattered operational telemetry, but lacked the cryptographic evidence required to prove that autonomous agents actually followed those rules at runtime.
Through Cognitive Insight, he helps organizations move from theoretical risk registers to enforceable, proof-carrying execution environments.
